Hey there, I’m Donovan!

I’m a fee-only CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and the founder of Prospurpose (prahs-pur-puhs) Wealth.

My Beliefs

• Money is a tool that should be used to accomplish what’s most valuable to you.

• Education is crucial.

• Collaboration is key for progress in a partnership.

• We need a lot less than we think.

• Your wealth is not your worth.

• Spending on experiences and relationships > spending on things

• The best is yet to come.

My History

In 2011, I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University (GO BEARCATS!) with a dual degree in financial services and financial management.

After college, I worked several years at a small, local firm that provided mostly investment management services to pre-retirees and retirees. I was doing operational work such as ensuring that specific recommendations were carried out.

I finally came to the conclusion that I didn’t want to sell commission-based products, due to the conflict of interest, AND I wanted to work with younger individuals that were navigating numerous life events and needed real financial planning.

And thus my financial planning firm came to existence in early 2016 and I’ve been serving clients ever since.

My Personal Life

Outside of practicing financial planning you can find me with my family: Amy (wife), EveLynn (daughter), Noah (son), Simon (son), and Charlie (son). Everyday is a chaotic adventure that I love!

When I have time, I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, strength & endurance training, board games, listening to podcasts, and reading.
